Chris Papastamos, M.A. RP, CPC, CSD
Chris has a Master of Arts in Counselling degree. As a Certified Professional Counsellor, a Registered Psychotherapist, a Certified Spiritual Director, and a Success Coach, Chris has worked with individuals, couples, families, and organizations for over 25 years. Chris’ area of focus is anxiety/depression, couples therapy, addictions, grief and loss, and spiritual direction.
Chris has twice served on the National Board as President, and currently holds the portfolio of AGM and National Conference. Chris has been married for 25 years to his wife Joanna, and together they have two children, Emmanuel and Melina.
Born and raised in London Ontario, Chris graduated from Heritage College and Seminary with a BRE with a counselling minor. He then moved to Winnipeg where he completed his M.A in Counselling from Providence Theological Seminary. Chris along with his family are actively involved with music, as well as they all enjoy travelling together.
Chris’ heart has increasingly been steered towards couples and offering them hope in their relationship through psychotherapy and ultimately, the gospel.
Chris views PACCP as a key element to his practice. PACCP is uniquely positioned to support Christian counsellors and psychotherapists in their personal and professional lives, by providing theological and psychotherapeutic professional development, a chance for networking and collaborating with other Christian clinicians, a place to receive personal support for his own stressors, opportunities to build both collegial relationships and personal friendship. PACCP is a place for clinicians to belong, to grow, to connect, to feel and be supported, and to enhance their clinical skills and expertise. This is why the National Conference and AGM portfolio is so important to Chris. It is just one way PACCP can offer all of this to its members.
