Graduate Cert. CH. Spirituality

Jordan recently retired from the University of Calgary where she held an administrative and financial position within the department of Sociology. Jordan holds a B.A. from the University of Alberta and an M.A. in Counselling from Providence University College and Theological Seminary as well as a graduate Certificate in Christian Spirituality.

Jordan continues to offer both counselling and spiritual direction within a private practice. She has professional training in trauma-informed counselling, Gottman couples counselling, grief counselling, anxiety disorders and identity formation. She has recently taken on a part-time position working in trauma care and training.  Jordan has had the great privilege and opportunity to participate in mission/volunteer work in Rwanda on three separate occasions which has had a big impact on her understanding and experience of trauma and suffering. She also served as AB West Member Care Coordinator over a 5 year period. Jordan volunteers on a number of local and national organizations and serves on one other mission focused board.

Jordan recently relocated to Cochrane, AB and has three daughters, and one granddaughter. Her eldest daughter, her husband and granddaughter also relocated to Cochrane four doors away! How wonderful is that!

Working in a secular environment for most of her career, Jordan appreciates belonging to a Christian association that not only provides sound clinical opportunities for on-going professional development and high ethical standards but provides a Christian foundation where one can be nourished intellectually and spiritually and form meaningful and supportive relationships with others within the field of counselling. It is her privilege to be on the National Board and to serve the members of PACCP
